My Floss Organiser - My Heart's at Home fabrics.


Lynette has designed this adorable organiser to keep your threads tidy and untangled. The organiser opens to reveal a little envelope packed for storing packets of needles, and two appliquéd wool birds will keep your needles in place during your project. Open the floss organiser further and 24 little packets are waiting to hold your floss. You can see the thread colour through the clear pockets. A simple tie holds the organiser together.

Features appliqué and embroidery, with some machine sewing.

Finished size is approximately:
8 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" high when folded
8 1/2" wide x 14 3/4" high when open


This kit includes
; the pattern, all the fabrics to make the sewing organiser, 1 scissor charm

You will need to add:-
Embroidery threads (Lynette has used Valdani #O578, #P5, #O514, #JP12, #O548 and #O575)
9" x 15" single sided fusible batting
2 1/2" x 5" fusible web
9" square see though plastic
Stitchery stabiliser (optional) 
General sewing supplies.

Finished size approx. 66½” x 80”
Finished Block Size: 11” x 11”

Konnichiwa Sewing Basket


We have been busy here in the office cutting some kits for the new Konnichiwa Sewing Basket for you all! We are excited to now have a kit for this gorgeous project on offer. 

This wonderful up-cycled sewing basket has been made using an Asian stacking steamer basket. A sweet applique design that incorporates embroidery, applique and English paper piecing for the lid with the baskets lined in coordinating fabrics.

We have got available the kitspattern and downloadable pattern.

We have also got the paper piece and template packs available. 

You will need:-
Double steamer basket with lid (Lynette's was 8” the baskets were approx. 2” deep from an Asian supply store)
Small snap fastener (needle case)
Embroidery threads (Lynette has used Valdani #O512, #P10, #H204, #H212, #P5, #O528, #O519, #O126, #O78, #O578 and #P4)
Thin card (basket lining)
Stitchery stabiliser (optional)
Fusible web (dimensional flowers)
10” lightweight pellon/ batting
General sewing supplies


Here are the blocks that have been completed so's starting to get very exciting. We are really enjoying seeing on Lynette Facebook group 'In Stitches with Lynette Anderson' amongst other things all the Seaside Town blocks people
are working on.
