Virtual Gardening...

I cannot believe how fast January has flown by. We are already at the end of our first month of 2018 and I can't help but pinch myself!

In Australia at the moment, we are in the middle of our Summer season and it is becoming very hot as per usual. One thing I am finding during this heat, is that I am abandoning my garden as it is too hot to be outdoors... Lynette is a virtual gardener, preferring to stitch her garden with fabric and thread rather than working in the soil, and during the Summer I am finding myself doing the same.
Are you also like us?

If you are, then Lynette's fabric collection 'Stonehouse Garden', and the sweet projects that go with this, will fulfill all your virtual gardening needs.

Lynette writes 'For Stonehouse Garden I wanted to evoke in the mind of the quiltmaker a sense of peace and harmony, the imagined aromas and sounds of a country garden.'

The colours and patterns that Lynette has gathered for this collection are firmly rooted in the ground, the flora that grows from it and the things that make our gardens have personalities of their own. Each print has been carefully designed so that when combined they remind us of gentle days in the garden with the sun on our backs, the laughter of children playing, bees buzzing and sense of joyfulness.

We still have available a handful of fabric bundles for Stonehouse Garden in fat 1/4, fat 1/8, angel delights and charm squares. Or if you would prefer to buy per metre, follow this link to view the entire Stonehouse Garden collection.

I absolutely adore the Garden Gate Tote bag that was made using Stonehouse Garden. The
scrappy strips of fabrics create the background for this sweet garden picture which once stitched has been appliquéd onto the background. Embroidered buttons add interest to the bag handles.

This bag is suitable for all levels of ability and we have the pattern, downloadable pattern and kits available.

Finished size approx. 10” x 12”

How sweet is the Garden Gnome Needlebook, that has been recently re-made using Lynette's Stonehouse Garden fabrics also. This sweet needlecase and scissor holder features a sweet garden scene.

We have the pattern, downloadable pattern and kits available.

The McGnome button is not included with the pattern however is included with the kit.

This pretty, pieced quilt is absolutely stunning! Available as a pattern and download pattern. We do not have a kit available, however if you are interested in the fabrics also, email us at for a quote on a fabric pack.

Finished size approx. 57” x 70”

Finished Block Size: 12” x 12”

This woodland themed wall quilt 'Fernhill' has also been re-made using the Stonehouse Garden fabric range, and has a finished size approx. 28" x 28". This wall quilt features 9 cute blocks.

We have the pattern and kit available.

Don't forget to add the buttons to your wall quilt. We have the hand painted and raw button packs available.

This simple quilt combines easy strip piecing and one of my all time favourite block, the Ohio Star. Add 12 assorted cameo’s from the feature print, and ‘voila’ you have a gorgeous quilt. Available as a downloadable pattern only.

We have just had another order arrive for the 2017 Calico bags. For those who haven't seen them before, these bags are ideal for carrying your stitching projects to class. This calico bag has longer style handles for putting over your shoulder and features a gorgeous new design by Lynette Anderson.

Bag size: width 14 1/2" (37cm) x height 15 1/4" (39cm)

You can either leave the bag as it is, with the stencil styled design on the front or have fun embroidering over the pattern.
