This pretty little needlecase reminds me of the one my Grandma used to let me use when I was staying with her during the summer holidays. A combination of embroidery, applique and a few little hexagons combine to create this delightful needlcase.

7 (2”x 2”) squares of assorted prints, hexagons
6” x 9½” teal print, inner pocket
5½” x 9½” light blue floral, lining
2 (1” x 9”) strips, ties
1 (2” x 36”) strip, binding
6 ply stranded embroidery floss, I used Valdani #P4 aged white light, #P5 tarnished gold, #P10 antique violet, #511 black sea, #519 green olives, #JP12 seaside, #078 aged wine and #031 tealish blue
10” of ½” width cotton lace, top edge of pocket
4½” x 13” cream wool, needle keeper
Small lobster clasp, end of scissor cord
